Hillway Surgical Limited has designed and
developed, in conjunction with key surgeons and The Royal College of
Surgeons, two arthroscopic surgery training models, a series of vascular
training models, and a head model. A further range of models is
available for basic surgical skills training. All models are then
manufactured to exacting standards by a specialist plastics moulding
Company.Hillway Surgical Limited is proud to have been awarded
"Millennium Product" status by the British Design Council, and
in fact the Hillway Knee is represented at the famous London Millennium
Dome, within the Spiral of Innovation.
The Millennium Products Award acknowledges "creative and
innovative products for the new millennium" - and this ethos has
driven Hillway Surgical since it was established in 1990.
Nigel Watkin has held key appointments with major international
companies in the surgical products industry, and has been responsible
for the design of many neurosurgical and orthopaedic surgical
instruments.
In his role as European Director of Training with a well-respected
medical products Corporation, he became disappointed with the design and
scope of the then-available anatomical models, particularly in the field
of endosurgery. Bearing in mind the needs of the surgeon-in-training,
and wanting to get away from the use of live animals for surgical skills
training, Nigel established Hillway Surgical Limited.
Hillway Surgical Limited has an ongoing development programme, and
several new models are in the design process. We can also consider
requests for custom designed models, and will be pleased to offer our
quotation for such items.
MISSION STATEMENT:
"To provide high quality advanced anatomical models which can be
used by surgeons or practitioners to learn and rehearse surgical
procedures and manoeuvres."
Hillway products are available through our growing list of
distributors worldwide.
We thank you for visiting our site, and look forward to being of
